Another former Bills cornerback retires from the NFL

Six-year NFL veteran and former Buffalo Bills cornerback Dane Jackson has retired from the NFL this week.

The Jacksonville Jaguars placed Jackson on the Reserve/Retired list on Wednesday, bringing an end to his playing days:

The news on Jackson comes after another former Bills cornerback who played under head coach Sean McDermott, Levi Wallace, also hung 'em up in recent weeks.

Jackson, 29, was selected by the Bills in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Pittsburgh.

Of his six years in the league, Jackson spent five in Buffalo. He recorded 155 tackles, three interceptions, 28 passes defended, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery while making 28 starts.

In 2022, Jackson was the Bills' top cornerback when Tre'Davious White missed time because of injury.

Jackson went to the Carolina Panthers in 2024 before briefly returning to Buffalo in a reserve role last season. Jackson signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in June before retiring.
