SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Angelo State University basketball teams are down to the their final two games of the regular season, beginning with matchups on the road against West Texas A&M on Thursday.
The Belles have won 10 straight games heading into a showdown against the No. 8-ranked Lady Buffs. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.
The ASU women are 15-9 overall and 13-5 in the Lone Star Conference. It’s been over year since the Belles and Lady Buffs last played. WT won the matchup last season in Canyon.
The Belles will compete in the LSC Tournament next month.
Meanwhile, the Rams are playing for pride, as they have been eliminated from qualifying for the conference tourney.
The ASU men are 16-13 and 7-11. The Rams have been hamstrung with a slew of injuries this season, but they’re a defensive-minded squad that can give teams fits.
Tip-off for the men’s game is at 7:30.
