I mean, for all of you experts out there that have now diced and sliced both Matty's and DA's numbers to death, attempting to illustrate how Matty really isn't all that bad and that CKW must be brain-dead not to see that Matty is the crystal clear, single-best choice for our team... all he now needs to do is confirm your collective thoughts and state that he is in fact, tanking the season. He is intentionally, in premeditated fashion, purposely dumping this season in the trash by playing with Matty's tender heart-strings and toying with the idea of starting Derek Anderson.
Right? I mean, isn't this what drives CKW?? And moreover, since he is merely the coach and captain of our ship, what does he really know anyway... He can't possibly have considered all of the facts and figures the professors of this board have tossed out. Why would he if he's aiming to trash the season, right?
He can't possibly have a pulse on the team dynamics... can't possibly have a feel for which guy is best suited to take charge and lead this team in a manner CKW feels is required, right?
CKW certainly isn't in a position to take note of how Matty does/or does not do the little things that often-times are unnoticed, but in many cases play a HUGE role in team success, right?

I'm on the Leinart side of this controversy and think he should start, but I also support coach Whiz and if he picks DA as the starter, then I will believe that it's because he honestly believes that DA gives them the best chance to win.

I'm not sure but I feel he's looking for a qb that will throw a pass longer than 10 yards. Sure he can throw dump offs all day long to pad his stats but with our receivers is that what we really want? I feel it's really not what our coach is looking for. I may be wrong.

IMHO, it's so much more than Matty tossing/or not, a ball downfield... so much more.

Sure but my point is we can't see that. We only know Matt should have done something differently if we're told that.

For example remember Jaws tells us Matt made the right throw, Williams ran the wrong pattern on 3rd and long, but Whiz seemed to say otherwise. I assume we're supposed to believe Whiz. Gruden said Matt should have audibled on that one blitz, if Jaws was wrong how do we know Gruden wasn't too?

My point is what we the fans can see, Matt is better, so it's what we can't see and don't really know about that seems to be the difference.

it's why this is hard for people(like me) to accept, because the criteria for making the decision is not available for me to look at.

It's a leap of faith to assume Whiz will make the right decision. Given his track record so far I will certainly support whatever he decides, I just wish I knew what the decision was going to be based on.

I blame both of them. Toast doesn't know why he's been demoted and wont ask and whis knows and isn't telling him. I can't think of a more headed for divorce scenario.

But these intangibles aren't new...this should have been figured out when we could have targeted a better option than Derek freaking Anderson. Everyone including the fans gets screwed in this one.

Whisenhunt is a risk taker. Matt has been good in the preseason as far as Qb raiting, but never takes a risk down field, which DA does. Matt shouldn't be throwing little dump offs all the time with his short passes. Whisenhunt is just lighting a fire under Matt for he can play at a high level. Cuz when it's all said and done Matt will be the Qb.
