The final practice of spring for the Crimson Tide will commence at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday in the latest version of A-Day. With no spring transfer portal (and no chance for player poaching by other teams), the day will feature a two-hour scrimmage. Although it will not be televised, UA will have live stats and live streaming play-by-play.

Due to graduation, NFL-bound players, and outgoing transfers, the 2026 Alabama team will have several new starters.

2025 ROSTER

Below is the 2025 roster with returning players in black, departing transfers in red, early NFL entries in pink, and those out of eligibility in blue.

RETURNING

Removing all the departures leaves a stark depth chart.

2026 ROSTER

Don’t worry too much about all the empty space in the above chart. The Alabama staff did a pretty good job with their incoming transfers and freshmen class.

Below is our best efforts at what the depth chart may look like here in early April 2026. Again, returning players are in black, but incoming transfers are in blue, and freshmen are in green (but hopefully not too green). Some reserves may not be true second-teamers, but just for the sake of having a list are placed in those spots.

* Summer enrollee.

  • Jah-Marien Latham is still out and his status in TBD. London Simmons and William Sanders are out for the spring. Bray Hubbard is be limited. However, those last three are still expected to be starters.
  • Although the QB battle rages on, seniority puts Austin Mack ahead of Keelon Russell for the moment.
  • Daniel Hill has gotten a lot of spring hype at RB. Ezavier “EJ” Crowell is still pretty new to the program. Check back in the fall.
  • Despite playing RT last season, my feel is Michael Carroll goes to the left and Jackson Lloyd is on the right. Racin Delgatty is ahead of fellow transfer Kaden Strayhorn right now. Ty Haywood could be guard or tackle.
  • Devan Thompkins and Terrance Green are looking like valuable pick-ups to help rebuild the D-line.
  • The middle linebackers are a worrisome position with very little game experience returning from last year’s Tide roster. QB Reese likely gets the nod as the most experienced, but Luke Metz has gotten some buzz as well. Caleb Woodson’s red flags are concerning, but all he has to do is keep it together for one fall.
  • The secondary is looking stout. Even the second-teamers are looking good.
  • Punter Adam Watford was signed out of North Alabama where he averaged 46.6 ypp in 2025 — an average that would have placed him in the top 10 in FBS.
  • Another big battle is for kicker. It feels like Lorcan Quinn might overtake Conor Talty.
  • Ethan Stangle transferred in from Syracuse with one year of eligibility remaining.

Whatcha think? Let me have it in Comments.
