Freshman Amari Allen told Brett Greenberg of Bama247 that he will use all of his allotted time to decide whether he will remain in the 2026 NBA draft or return to Alabama.

Allen announced on April 19 that he would be declaring for the draft while maintaining his remaining college eligibility. He, along with others who declared themselves early entrants, has until May 27 to withdraw from the draft and return to college.

The 6-foot-6 forward has already conducted a predraft workout with the Memphis Grizzlies and will also visit Miami, New York and Oklahoma City before the early entry withdrawal deadline. He is expected to announce his stay-or-go decision on Wednesday.

Allen was named to the SEC All-Freshman team, averaging 11.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and one steal while shooting 34.1% from 3-point range with the Crimson Tide. He was one of five players in the conference to haul in at least 10 rebounds in nine or more games.

The 20-year-old participated in the draft combine last week, emerging as one of the top performers in the strength and agility testing. He registered the second-highest max vertical jump (42 1/2 inches) and the fifth-highest standing vertical jump (34 1/2 inches).

Allen is considered a possible last first-round pick because of his ability to generate paint touches, finish at the rim and get to the free-throw line. He will have the chance to solidify himself in the draft during his upcoming workouts and interviews.
