MJF vs. Hangman Adam Page at AEW Revolution
AEW
AEW Revolution 2026 Key Points
- Hangman Adam Page challenges MJF for the AEW World Championship in a Texas Death Match. If Hangman Page loses, he will never be able to challenge for the AEW World Championship again.
- AEW advertised 13 total matches for the pre-show (tailgate) and the main card. With head-to-head competition from the Oscars, the entire card is likely to be around six hours long.
- Timeless Toni Storm takes on Maria Shafir while Thekla takes on Kris Statlander in a two-out-of-three falls match for the AEW Women’s World Championship. This will mark the 46th consecutive AEW pay-per-view where a women’s match will not main event.
AEW Revolution advertised six championship matches, including a main event where Hangman Adam Page will face MJF in a Last Chance Texas Death match. If Hangman loses, he will never be able to challenge for the AEW world title again. Revolution emanates from Los Angeles, Calif. before a healthy crowd of over 11,000.
AEW President and CEO Tony Khan boasted a sellout crowd with a live gate of over $1 million. A wrestling promoter talking about live gate numbers seems perfectly normal, however the embittered Wrestling Observer Fandom voted this behavior one of the most disgusting promotional tactics of 2024 when WWE talked up its record ticket sales and live gates.
Thankfully, Tony Khan and AEW will not have to worry about any backlash from bragging about their ticket sales. Dave Meltzer and his equally brainwashed audience are firmly in Tony Khan’s pocket. Meltzer criticizing Tony Khan is about as rare as women main eventing an AEW pay-per-view. Mercedes Mone’s magnanimous tour of dropping titles around the world has also doubled as a silent protest seeking expanded roles for women in wrestling.
