The Minnesota Vikings are now in training camp, and that means that the quarterback battle between Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy. The early signs heading into camp indicated that this could already be Murray's job to lose, but is it? What we have seen in training camp has been a mixed bag for both men, but despite it all, the presence along of Murray is enough for someone to be excited.

That someone is former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.

He spoke to Klye Odegard of Rotogrinders recently about a plethora of topics, including the quarterback battle., While he discussed some about McCarthy, he spoke with delight about his fellow Oklahoma Sooner who is in the thick of it.

He said, “I feel like the sky is the limit for (the Vikings). The defense played outstanding last year, and the year before that, too. When I saw it going across the ticker that they were getting Kyler, I thought, ‘That’s a hell of a move right there.’ Kyler being down there in Arizona, you could see the writing was on the wall."

Murray has certainly brought a different dynamic to things just in training camp. Specifically, the ball has been going deeper down the field, he has extended plays, and the result has been some electric moments. The team will be rooting for that to roll into the regular season if he gets the job.
