Michigan State hockey dropped a key game to Ohio State on Friday night, 5-1. While it was not a good game from the Spartans, uncharacteristically of Adam Nightingale, he went after the officials following the game. This is significant because of the calm and cool demeanor that Nightingale usually handles himself with.

After the game, while speaking to the media, Nightingale commented on the situation.

“I have no issue with the calls, but it’s my job to coach our players and I don’t want the refs talking to our guys. It’s his job to ref, my job to coach.”

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds before tomorrow's game at 8 p.m. but one thing is for certain, when Nightingale is this hot, it is worth noting.

Nightingale: “I have no issue with the calls, but it’s my job to coach our players and I don’t want the refs talking to our guys. It’s his job to ref, my job to coach.”
