The book was great but I rarely like anything Tim Burton is associated with. I am not very optimistic.

I am with the "I don't know what to think" camp. It could go either way.

The book is fun and I usually love Burton, but for some reason, this does not excite me.

Trying to decide if I would rather see this or moon Nazis.

I don't think you can choose between Vampire Hunter and Iron Sky. I say, see them both.

Exactly. The Iron Sky trailer was so awesome, because I was so bored by a retread concept that I almost stopped watching...and then they revealed the Nazis, and it was mindbendingly cool.

This was pretty freaking lame for most of it. Some of it was OK. Special effects were pretty cheesy at times too. The fight scene during the stampede with Abe and the Vampire was one of the most ridiculous things I've ver seen on screen.

This is probably a rental for me. Looks cheesy and I have yet to hear one person say it's a "must see".

Wow, have to disagree. Well, not with the stampede scene...I didn't like that at all. I frreaking loved it. Of course, I remember loving the book when it came out too. I have a feeling that your willing suspension of disbelief wasn't large enough...and for this, it has to be huge :D

I agree. The movie was actually decent until that stampede scene. Then it went down hill fast.

In a rare moment, I have to disagree with Shane..... My wife and I really enjoyed it. While some of the visuals were a bit cheesy, some of them were quite good. Overall, a 3 out of 5 vampire movie with Honest Abe thrown in.

By the way, what's up with hating the horse stampede scene? Not realistic, maybe? Like the 16th president of the United States killing vampires with a special ax and winning Gettysburg with silver bullets is realistic? C'mon, Garth! It's just a movie!! :D

A fun romp.

Maybe it was just my mood but I found the first half pretty boring. Much ado about very little and I'm not a fan of excessive darkness. I can't really comment on the second half. I was in the mood for something more down to earth so I decided to watch Gilligan's Island reruns instead.
