Football fans hoping that Aaron Rodgers might decide to continue his career beyond the 2026 NFL season are going to be disappointed.

At the onset of Pittsburgh Steelers training camp, Rodgers made it clear that the '26 season will absolutely be his final run. "Zero debate," he said, via ESPN.

Rodgers, 42, explained that he fully believed that the 2025 season would be his last, but Pittsburgh's decision to hire Mike McCarthy as head coach led to Rodgers returning for one final season. Rodgers and McCarthy enjoyed some serious success together as the quarterback and coach duo in Green Bay for over a decade.

"I thought last year might be it," Rodgers said. "And then Mike [McCarthy] got hired, and I talked to the wife and she said, 'You can do one more year.' I said, 'Well, we'll see if it works out.' And then it kind of all came together."

So, football fans should appreciate watching Rodgers while they can during the upcoming season, because it will be a wrap after that.
