Training camp has arrived, providing fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers with exciting news and updates about their favorite players. And that includes veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who cleared up speculation about his future retirement in hilarious fashion.
When asked why 2026 will be his final season in the NFL, Rodgers smiled and revealed that his wife played a role in his retirement decision.
“I thought last year might be it,” Rodgers told reporters. “Then Mike [McCarthy] got hired, and I talked to the wife, and she said I can do one more year.”
Rodgers was asked once more if there was any shot he’d consider returning for another season after 2026, but he told reporters there was “zero debate.”
Well, it appears fans not only have their answer as to whether or not Rodgers would return, but also hilariously why the veteran quarterback will call it a career following the 2026 season with the Steelers.
