As flag football continues to grow throughout the country—from youth to high school to college and beyond—the number of those who want to see the sport flourish also expands.
Now, you can add Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to that list.
On Wednesday, it was reported that the future Hall of Famer donated to USA Football in support of the U.S. women's flag football team ahead of the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Rodgers' donation is just the latest example of an NFL player, the league, or both helping the sport grow. As of 2026, 23 states in the country, plus D.C., have sanctioned girls flag football as a high school varsity sport. There are 17 states with a pilot program.
The 2028 Summer Olympic Games are set to begin in Los Angeles on July 14 and will run through July 30.
