I think Michael Bidwill, Rod Graves and Dave McGinnis need to sit down and address the 17,000 fans that are left supporting this team and tell us the truth about what the heck is going on behind closed doors. We deserve to know why the wheels come off week after week, season after season.

I expect some answers, and fast.

They can't do that. They don't want anyone else to get in on their daily Madden 04 tournaments. That's for them only.

I would take it a step further. They owe every fan who has ever spent a dime on this organization an apology.

They should also pen an open letter to the fans and attempt to offer some reasons why we should still support this sorry excuse for a football team!

Why do you think we have a new GM with more power now ?

Do you honestly think that RG (and maybe MB) can undo the damage done over them 5-6 years in 6 months ?

This is probably the best draft we have had in years, despite the questions over the trade.

That's exactly what I mean and I couldn't agree more. They need to stop pretending like no one notices how bad their product is and ADDRESS THE REALITY OF THE SITUATION. The NFL is the greatest brand in the world and the Cardinals are ******** it up all over the place.

Fine, then come out and say PUBLICLY that Rod Graves is here to fix all the mistakes that have been made over the last dozen years and tell us how he plans on doing it. I need to know why I should continue to support this team when year after year it's the same pitiful performance. I just don't understand how the Bidwills get away with it.

I know I will get the dread...zzzzzzzz but 14mil would have went a lot farther to make a statement...spent on players....rather than in the team....pension fund....RG...could have spent it....and done better than he did.

So you think we have been drafting well and doing a good job of keeping players ?

This year is the first time I've seen us start to resign players early

yeah but who was signed early. None of the guys who got extensions should have save for Shipp - and then he was nicely rewarded by having his job taken from him -Fred Wakefield, Ron McKinnon - those guys deserved more money - BS. A has been and a never will be getting extensions is not a sign of progress to me - it's going backwards.

McKinnon was second on the team with 5 tackles and 2 assists and Fred Wakefield had 4 tackles. IMO, both guys played a good game today. Even D. Johnson had 4 tackles.

The defense was not the problem today.

the defense gave up 31 points and got one sack. When you lose 38-0 the problem is eveywhere.

Maybe the defense wasn't the problem today, but it also wasn't doing anything to stop some of the terrible momentum against us. How about forcing a turnover or two? Lord knows we're great at the giveaways, its about time we started getting some takeaways.

EXCUSE ME!!!!
To say the defense gave up 31 points is not a very accurate statement at all.

Before some of you get too carried away with your ranting here's a few preliminary numbers from the game to keep in mind:

Time of possession:
Cards 33:31
Seattle 26:29

Rushing:
Seattle 30 for 130
Cards 24 for 93

Passing:
Cards 25/46 205
Seattle 10/21 195

first downs:
Cards 18
Seattle 16

Other than the 2 big screwups on the passes to Darrell Jackson, the defense actually played quite well. Seattle came into this game with a highly respected offense.....they didn't run ragged over the Cards by any means.

Off the top of my head I can only remember 3 plays that I would call dumb mistakes: The 2 blown coverages on Jackson and McCown's one pass interception....he shouldn't have tried to force it like he did...and he knew it.

The early fumbles and interceptions that got the team in so much early trouble were not "bonehead mistakes". The Seattle defense made some great plays......and had a little luck bouncing their way too.

I'll comment more once I have reviewed the tape.....something I think a few others here should do too.

This was a disappointing loss, for sure....but this team didn't just roll over and die.....and they didn't play nearly as poorly as many are claiming.

Even after the early turnovers...Seattle's offense did absolutely squat their first 3 possessions.

To me the backbreaker in this game was Jackson's first TD with 2 minutes left in the half, following Grammatica's missed field goal.
That pretty much made the game a hopeless cause from that point on.

hey...tango...when you review the tape - check to see if there are 10 men on the field when blake was injured by hand...I think we were either short a receiver or a running back - a small, insignificant thing that is bugging me..I counted 10 players on the field when the ball was snapped...I think blake looked down field and could not find someone...but I could be wrong..thanks.

True, Tango. The D did hang in there throughout the first quarter. I even told the guy next to me, "Well, maybe this could be our day after all. All of those mistakes, we're only down 7 and driving." Then, the botched pitch was run in for a TD. Really, that took away our chance for winning. The Jackson TD's took away our chance to keep it respectable.

Tango,

You're entitled to your opinion of course, but I think you and I both know that we played bad enough to lose 38-0. It's about results and every other team in the league seems to understand that.

Analogy: If you ask me to wash your car for $50 and I use 40 gallons of water and a whole bottle of super-duper cash wash soap and yet when I'm done your car is still filthy, then does any of my effort really matter? Fact is, you're out $50 and your car still looks like crap. That's what watching this team is like right now. And all I want is for someone in the Cardinals organization to come out and call it like it is so that at least I know they realize that it's about results and not "how much we tried".

Because to "address the reality of the situation" would make them seem as darksiders. LOL But you are right. Need to call it exactly the way it is.

"We got run out of our own house," McGinnis said. "Every man in that room and every coach in that room oughta be man enough to stand up and say it. Don't try to hide behind anything or find a dark corner. There's no hiding from that."

This is a start. At least McGinnis acknowledged the truth. Now what plans does he have to address it?

Well, after these first two games I wonder who wants to stay and sign an extension. Anyone who is due have already endured and probably wants out.

Rod Graves had a hand in those previous drafts. So what's his reward? Promotion!!!!Until the Cards bring in a totally new GM and coaching staff, they will continue to stink.Incompetence is incompetence.

Here's another key stat, 38-0 Seattle.

The only stat that really matters is wins. What does it matter if we win the time of possession stat when we lost the game? Who cares if we have more first downs when we get shut out?

The sooner we stop making excuses the sooner things can get fixed.
