Our lack of size has been exposed the last 5 games
when we hit the 3 having 3 (or 4) guards out there works but you're right - we become very undersized when the 3 isn't falling

missed 3s lead to fast break points on our undersized unit - lots of second chance opportunities to boot

im seriously wondering if ott tries oso at point-foward

The play-in is probably inevitable. I just want a healthy team come playoffs to see what this team could possibly do. They are so undersized, that’s gonna be a huge problem in the playoffs, but it would just be nice to see this team actually have all their starters play together.

For whatever reason the 3pt shooting touch abandoned the complete roster except for RO. Book finally nailed one in the corner. It's probably due to first game back from long absence for him and Green. We worked out all those open 3 chances! But give Philly credit for great D they played.

nick richards got 19 minutes tonight- 15 pts 7 boards- happy for the guy
Nick should be the b/u C and Oso should have started at the 4 if they were not getting a legit PF. - 4 wings is a gimmick. Let the players know whoever is hot plays - if you force bad shots (aka Dillon) your gonna sit Royce is not a PF & Green is a bust

disagree with most all of this - richards never fully grasped our defense - ott already plays who's hot - 4 wings is fine when we're healthy and the 3s are dropping and we're winning games - players take bad shots when no one is making shots (book included) and jalen green isn't a bust

oneale isn't a pf - he can defend them but can't rebound against them - but when he's hitting four or five 3s a game it all makes sense

ive been contemplating the size thing - ott's not going to run oso and williams at the same time - just not happening atleast not until maluach is truly serviceable and maybe not even then - ott said after the sixers game that he tried "every lineup" - that means he doesn't even consider a oso williams tandem

we're still figuring ott out but he doesn't like slow centers - tell you that much - timeott dot com if they don't get back on defense or downcourt on offense - ott wants speed and reliability - it's why he like williams and oso

.

This isn’t the 1990s anymore. Playing Oso next to a center for considerable amounts of time would be a disaster.

Oso cannot shoot. You can't have him as a PF next to Mark Williams. That's a recipe for disaster.

PF's are a dying breed in this league. Most starting "PF"s are all tweeners that can shoot. Oso isn't that.

The overreactions on here and X are crazy.

Book and Green need time to get back up to form.

We had a terrible shooting night as a team.

That's it - it isn't a disaster, it is a short term fluke.

Nothing has changed, it is likely only up from here.

Until the recent game with the Clippers, the Suns have been playing like, more than the sum of it's parts.

Now the Suns are playing like, less than the sum of it's parts.

Hard to put a finger on it. Is the league catching up to them or have they tuned out this philosophy?

This team used to be full of gritty dirt workers. Now they give up wide open lanes to the basket and do not scrap hard on defense and rebound.

The Suns are in a lull for sure. It happens. I hope we can get back on track before the all-star break but I think the break is well needed. We got spoiled earlier this season and we as fans aren't handling this recent lull well as evidenced by this thread. Hopefully, we'll get back on track too.
