5-star kicker Luke Cody has officially committed to Alabama, per an announcement on X.
Cody is widely regarded as one of the top kickers from his class. The talented kicker could quickly emerge with a massive role at Alabama throughout his freshman campaign, as Cody is now expected to compete for the starting role throughout training camp next summer. Standing at 6-foot and 170 pounds, Cody has put his talent on full display throughout his time at Lumberton High School in Texas and now finds himself as the newest member of the Crimson Tide as a result.
Alabama originally offered Cody on June 1 while the kicker was at a camp in Tuscaloosa. Cody returned to campus for an official visit from June 5-7, and the kicker officially committed to Alabama on Saturday.
Cody will now join quarterback Elijah Haven as the second 5-star recruit from the 2027 class to commit to Alabama, and each player will undoubtedly play a critical role in Tuscaloosa sooner rather than later.
