3-star running back Tai Phillips has officially committed to Alabama, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
Phillips is a talented running back who could quickly earn himself an everyday role in the Tide’s backfield next season. Standing at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, Phillips chose Alabama over Florida State and Stanford and the running back is expected to officially join the Tide in Tuscaloosa throughout training camp next summer. Phillips will take an official visit to Alabama from June 12-14 as well, and the talented running back will look to shine throughout his freshman campaign in 2027.
Phillips is ranked as the No. 48 running back and the No. 856 overall player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is listed as the No. 12 overall player out of South Carolina as well, and Phillips is expected to make some serious noise throughout his senior campaign at Irma High School before joining the Tide next season.
Alabama continues to target some of the top overall talent from the 2027 class, as Phillips now finds himself as the newest member of the Crimson Tide following the announcement.
