There are many players on the Baltimore Ravens who need a big season, but there are a handful of others who are poised for a breakout season.

With the defense and offense expected to take a leap in 2026 with a brand-new coaching staff in place, here are five players who could be poised for a breakout season.

5. Devontez Walker

There is a competition that is set to happen in the wide receiver room, especially for the young players coming in, but there is no established WR3 in the room just yet. That could be Devontez Walker.

Walker has drawn praise from Zay Flowers and the rest of the offense, and his growth may be on its way. OTAs and minicamp were only the first level of seeing what the young receiver can do, but his true mettle will be tested in training camp.

Given his experience with the Ravens thus far, he could work himself into the starting role alongside Flowers and Rashod Bateman.

4. Trenton Simpson

There is a chance that Teddye Buchanan may be ready to play despite tearing his ACL deep into the 2025 season. Should he not be ready, the next man up is Trenton Simpson.

Simpson has garnered his own praise, and his work ethic continues to be the source of that praise. He picked up 2.5 sacks in what was a down defensive year, which could lead to a much higher level of production in 2026.

3. Nate Wiggins

Nate Wiggins had a very solid 2025 year, but the cornerback admitted that he was dealing with a nagging injury he had had since high school. The defender had offseason surgery and has indicated that he is "100 percent healthy."

As a cornerstone of the secondary and entering his second season, Wiggins can build even more on his debut. He picked up three interceptions and 76 total tackles in a year where he was injured, and the sky could be the limit in a fully healthy season.

2. Mike Green

Trey Hendrickson is expected to be the main pass rusher, but Mike Green can find a way to work his way into far more reps. He brought in 3.5 sacks and will benefit greatly from the veterans around him.

This includes Calais Campbell, who returns to the Ravens organization. Green is a young and dynamic talent who can elevate his game even more with a strong defensive framework in place.

1. Zay Flowers

Zay Flowers being on this list may sound a bit ridiculous, especially after he brought in 1,211 yards and five touchdowns, but he is also facing a contract year. The Ravens exercised his fifth-year option, but expect a new deal to come in sooner rather than later.

If the Baltimore front office is waiting until the 2027 offseason, Flowers may play with even more fervor. The new additions of the wide receiver room are also finally starting to look solid, so he will get more opportunities from Lamar Jackson, being able to throw the ball to more than just him.
