The San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday released their first practice report of the week leading up to their divisional playoff showdown with the Seattle Seahawks. It featured a handful of bits of good news to start the week.
Perhaps the most notable piece of info on their first practice report was the return of linebacker Fred Warner. His practice window was opened Tuesday as the team eyes an NFC championship game return for their superstar linebacker if they advance past the divisional round. He was officially listed as limited in their estimated practice report.
Other pieces of good news include Ricky Pearsall returning to practice as a limited participant. He was absent for all of the team's practices leading up to the wild card playoffs and didn't play after being listed as questionable. Pearsall continues dealing with knee and ankle injuries that have cost him the team's last two games.
Linebacker Dee Winters, who also missed the wild card game in Philadelphia, was also back in practice as a limited participant. He hurt his ankle in Week 18 and tested his ankle before Sunday's game to no avail.
Nothing will be decided Tuesday, but the first injury report contained more good news than bad, for now.
