The San Francisco 49ers injury issues caught up with them in their season finale against the Seattle Seahawks. It appears they'll be worse off on the injury front for their playoff game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.
Wednesday's practice report featured nine players either not participating or participating in a limited fashion, and that doesn't include linebacker Tatum Bethune who was placed on IR Wednesday with a season-ending groin injury. Four of the five non-participants were out because of injury, and all four of those were starters including wide receiver Ricky Pearsall and left tackle Trent Williams.
Both offensive starters were out for Week 18 and head coach Kyle Shanahan on Monday indicated the pair would be evaluated during the week, but stopped short of having optimism about their chances of playing in Philadelphia.
Perhaps things improve throughout the week, but Wednesday's injury update was not a good sign:
