Round 1 of the 2026 NFL draft has come to an end. On Friday, the Jacksonville Jaguars are scheduled to be on the clock for the first time at pick No. 56 overall.
With four selections on Day 2 and 11 picks in total, the Jaguars have the flexibility to go in a number of different directions with their selections.
Here are the best available players at key positions of need for the Jaguars.
What's the need? With Devin Lloyd now in Carolina, the starting spot next to Foye Oluokun is up for grabs. And while GM James Gladstone seems bullish about the talent already on the Jaguars' roster at linebacker, particularly Ventrell Miller, adding some additional competition wouldn't be a bad thing either.
What's the need? More depth, competition, and pass-rush juice are needed at the defensive tackle position.
What's the need? Defensive end is a need for the Jaguars. While the team has Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker under contract for the next few seasons, the depth behind them needs a boost, with only BJ Green and Danny Striggow under contract as of now.
What's the need? The Jaguars' pursuit earlier this offseason of Jake Bobo tells us that Gladstone is looking to make an addition here. Beyond Brian Thomas Jr., Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington, and Travis Hunter, the other wideouts on the roster are Austin Trammell, Tim Jones, and Chandler Brayboy.
What's the need?ESPN's Jordan Reid wrote recently that tight end is one of the positions that the Jaguars are "expected to target right away on Day 2." An addition here could compete with Hunter Long for the TE3 role or take on more of a developmental role this year, before seeing more opportunities in 2027, when Long and Quintin Morris are free agents.
What's the need? With Montaric Brown back in the fold, who joins Travis Hunter and Jourdan Lewis as starters, addressing this position early on isn't a must. However, adding competition is likely still on Gladstone's radar.
