Week 2 of the Jacksonville Jaguars' voluntary OTA practices begins on Monday.

During the first week, Liam Coen discussed a top priority for Trevor Lawrence, we learned how Travis Hunter is staying involved during rehab, and one area where the offense needs to keep pushing the envelope.

So, what should we be on the lookout for this week?

Who makes plays at defensive end?

Leading the way here is Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker, but the rotational snaps behind those two are up for grabs. Competing for that steady playing time are Wesley Williams, BJ Green, Danny Striggow, and Zach Durfee. More consistent pass-rush production is needed in 2026 from the rotational members of this position group. Last season, Jacksonville ranked 18th in pressure rate and 27th in sacks.

The Jaguars run game

Admittedly, this is difficult to evaluate at this time of the year. With no contact, it isn't always easy to evaluate offensive line play, while a running back's ability to create yards after contact is negated during OTAs. That said, what we can be on the lookout for is whether the offensive line is able to generate running lanes and if the backs are able to get beyond the line of scrimmage before being touched. An improved run game in 2026 can help take the offense as a whole to another level.

Trevor Lawrence to Brian Thomas Jr. connection

Lawrence and Thomas continuing to build their chemistry within the Coen offense will be vital for the Jaguars this season. It's one area in particular that Coen mentioned wanting to see continued growth. If Lawrence and Thomas can connect at a higher rate, particularly on downfield throws, that not only creates explosive plays for the offense, but it will open up opportunities for others with the attention Thomas can draw. From the sounds of it, the two are off to a strong start following Week 1 of OTAs.
