On Sunday of the 2026 NFL combine, the offensive linemen will be going through the on-field drills. What's the level of need at these positions for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and who are some prospects to keep your eyes on?
Let's start with the level of need at each of those positions for the Jaguars.
The Jaguars will enter the offseason positioned well on the offensive line. Their starting five from last season is all still under contract, along with a few of their first options off the bench.
However, that doesn't mean we won't see GM James Gladstone add to this unit either. For starters, even with the success the offense had down the stretch, the Jaguars' offensive line really struggled during the second half of the season to carve out running lanes.
In addition to that, the draft is about planning ahead, and looking ahead to 2027, there could be turnover within this position group. Jacksonville could move on at that point from Little, Mekari, and/or Hainsey by getting out of their contracts with a good amount of salary cap savings, while Edoga will be a free agent.
As we saw last season under Coen, versatility up front is vital, and Dunker could provide that. Most of his college snaps came at right tackle, but he has experience at guard as well. NFL.com's Lance Zierlein believes that Dunker could be a guard in the NFL.
Last season, Dunker allowed just 10 quarterback pressures and two sacks over 316 pass-blocking snaps. He was also one of PFF's higher graded run-blockers as well.
Most of Dunker's playing time has come at right tackle, where he played over 2,000 college snaps. He is listed at 6-5, 315 pounds.
Listed at 6-9, 315 pounds, Burke is very experienced, having played nearly 3,000 career snaps on offense over five college seasons.
This most recent season was his best, as he allowed just three sacks and 13 quarterback pressures over 429 pass blocking snaps. He was also one of PFF's higher graded run-blocking offensive tackles.
Burke has experience playing both left and right tackle. The Jaguars reportedly met with Burke at the NFL combine.
Measuring in at 6-7, 325 pounds, Tiernan is another experienced prospect with almost 3,000 career snaps. Most of his playing time has come at left tackle, but he has right tackle experience as well.
Over his 430 pass-blocking snaps this past season, Tiernan gave up three sacks and 13 pressures. He graded out much better in pass protection than as a run blocker.
Zierlein says that Tiernan is likely to move inside at the NFL level "due to a lack of length."
