A day after watching France dispatch Morocco in a 2-0 victory in Foxborough, Spain and Belgium will vie for a spot in the semi-finals. For the Spanish, it would be the next step to reclaiming their place atop the global football throne; a perch they owned 15 years ago when they took home three major international titles in a row between 2008 and 2012.
While the Belgian’s trophy case pales in comparison to their Spanish counterparts, the last remnants of their golden generation, Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois, and Romelu Lukaku, would love nothing more than to go out on a highnote.
With that in mind, we’re going to throw our support behind our dear friend Jonas and the Red Devils in this one.
