Day seven of the World Cup features action across all three host nations, including one of the game’s true meccas, the Stadio Azteca, a pair of European powers with legitimate aspirations to hoist the Jules Rimet Trophy, and even our old pal/nemesis Anthony Taylor officiating one of the matches. Yesterday’s fixtures, which featured a whopping 12 goals, including a hat-trick from Lionel Messi, will be hard to top, but Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane can certainly produce their own fireworks, so we may be in store for back-to-back breakout performances.
