If the season started today, one Panthers player would be their biggest fantasy bargain, another a likely bust, and a third a likely wild card.

In many respects, this is a make-or-break year for a team that’s turned things around pretty quickly after finishing 2-15 in 2023, but which enters 2026 with major question marks at QB, RB, and TE. The most reliable/predictable fantasy asset will be WR Tetairoa McMillan, last year’s WR24 in points per game. Assuming his ADP is around WR19-22, he’ll have bargain appeal thanks to his growing mega-alpha status (and accompanying high target share).

The biggest bust will be whichever RB is named the Week 1 starter. Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle might be in different uniforms soon. 2024 second-round pick Jonathon Brooks can’t stay healthy, and 2025 fourth-rounder Trevor Etienne was primarily a complementary piece in college and probably can’t be expected to carry a heavy load. There are too many moving parts to bet confidently on one RB -- especially the RB with the best ADP.

Bryce Young is the team’s biggest fantasy wild card, and he’s probably one of the biggest wild cards in the NFL. Entering his fourth season, the former #1 overall pick has made across-the-board improvements these past two seasons. Yet that doesn’t mean his hold on the starting job is safe. Young’s pop potential is evident; he has flashed enough to warrant a close look. But his fantasy floor is still among the lowest at his position.
