Did you actually call Jalen Green "Walmart Zach Lavine"? Seriously? SMH

Did you even watch the Suns when he played?
Walmart or K-Mart whichever you prefer. He averaged 17 points on 16 shots last year. Those guards are a dime a dozen. Zach Lavine was averaging 25ppg on higher efficient at the same age.

I expect Jalen having a breakout season with much better efficiency, under Ott's

I'm sure he will as some of it was likely rust. But his shot selection has been a concern throughout his career. He seems to be coachable though so maybe he'll be one of the rare success stories about undisciplined shooters.
Microwave 6th man archetype. It MIGHT work.

The way I see it is we're playing with a handicap for the time being (dead money, no picks). Need to stay entertaining while developing some youngsters while this goes on. We're not going to rise to Spurs, OKC, Knicks level in a year or two. So it is Hakim Warrick, Hedo and Frye we're seeing. That is fine. It is the middle ground.

It would be better to get the next all star cornerstone of the franchise. Not sure if they wanted to empty the bank for this. Also we probably can just trade for one, since we cannot tank into another one in the draft after, and one young star with a bunch of rotation players is not going to be fun to watch.

I will watch and root for these guys again this year. Maybe they do some moves at the deadline. Peat should start in G league, but I seriously hope Fleming and Maluach get bigger roles.

We were worse when he played...

I think Zach Lavine is a very fair comparison. Athletic, can get hot and win a game, but more often than not his bad tendencies outweigh the good.

I honestly think his best comparison is Kelly Oubre.

Green is young, so, maybe he figures out how to be more efficient, pick his spots... play off the ball, not get lost on defense. But it concerns me that he is pretty much the same player today that he was as a rookie.

They are already over the first apron, it's the second we can't get to - but we still have 7.5 million before hitting that.

I think there is a good chance we extend Jalen this offseason also, as next year is a player option.

You are dead wrong about trading Jalen - he is our most promising young player. If any guard needs to go it is Booker, but none should have to. We can probably resign Green for similar money to what he is making now. Also I don't think Dillon will get much of a raise either.

We couldn't give Green away on his current deal. I promise you that. Extending him would be insanity.

My faith in the current regime would be gutted if we were to extend Green this summer.

This is a "show me" year for him, because, so far, he's never... ever... ever... been a positive factor for his team. Every season of his career his team plays better when he is on the bench (or in our case, injured).

im glad the suns are running it back - i don't remember the last time i wanted them to - even after the finals i needed ayton gone

i like the coach - i like the culture - i like ish and gregory finding steals at the end of first rounds - i like the players - i love our g-league - i like that we're a destination

most of all i like our future - i think this group of young players can be a quality squad - might be a couple all stars in the mix

i'm not some koolaid 24/7 hippie - i've been miserable for much of the past 5 years but with us surprising everyone last year i can't wait to run it back - lfg - 50 wins baby and the 4th seed

I have been toying with this idea.

I think he could really thrive in this role, but I don't know if he is humble enough yet to accept it, and I don't blame him. Jamal Crawford is the archetype but it took him 8 years to buy into it.

I know he's young and if he could meaningfully develop as a passer or a defender, then it's a different story but the most concerning thing about Green is his that he has not evolved as a player at all since he entered the league. Guys who grow into stars tend to show improvement year after year, even if they're on a trash team. Green is the same player to day as he was as a 20 year old rookie.

I promise you you are very wrong. He has 1 year left and is a good up and coming player.

I do not understand the Jalen green hate.

It just depends on how much we pay for his extension.

Both those stores have a weird smell.

The Bridges trade gave Suns a lot of flexibility going forward.
1. MB is an upper level PF, slightly better than Hachimura and Harris as he attacks the rim better. So, he def. fills a need, at least for one year for Fleming and Koa to take lesson from. Depending on what Hachimura and Harris get on the open market, we can opt to extend him now or wait.
2. We are better positioned for further trade, with Bridges/Green/Brooks/Dunn as trade baits, and FRPS newly freed up.

Bridges is a $33 million expiring. I suppose that is worth something in trade. If an opportunity comes up during the early FA process, they could re-work this trade and move Bridges somewhere else, as long as it happens before the paperwork is filed.

HOping I guess.

I wonder if the Suns could snag Daniel Gafford in a trade with the Mavericks.

Center Khaman Maluach is not ready. Oso Ighodaro can't shoot and Mark Williams is frequently injured. Suns could use a big man.

Guard Quentin Grimes is also intriguing.

Despite off court issues, the suns have a lot of talent and youth, with a spot and a bit of cash to use.

Gambo reports the Suns might be looking for a guard.

I might self immolate if we sign Collin sexton.

I often rant about the kind of player who at first glance statistically is OK and you watch some of their highlights that you think they’re good, but quietly they’re killing their own team. Shooters who are bad shooters and do nothing but shoot.

We already have one of these in a prominent position on our team, it would be hard to stomach another.

Sexton is a tank commander.
