The Bridges trade gave Suns a lot of flexibility going forward.
1. MB is an upper level PF, slightly better than Hachimura and Harris as he attacks the rim better. So, he def. fills a need, at least for one year for Fleming and Koa to take lesson from. Depending on what Hachimura and Harris get on the open market, we can opt to extend him now or wait.
2. We are better positioned for further trade, with Bridges/Green/Brooks/Dunn as trade baits, and FRPS newly freed up.

I don’t think Green or bridges have any trade value and all of our first round picks are severely leveraged where we are getting the last bite between four teams.

I might self immolate if we sign Collin sexton.

I often rant about the kind of player who at first glance statistically is OK and you watch some of their highlights that you think they’re good, but quietly they’re killing their own team. Shooters who are bad shooters and do nothing but shoot.

We already have one of these in a prominent position on our team, it would be hard to stomach another.

Sexton is a tank commander.

This is a ludicrous statement.

Obviously Bridges has trade value, we weren't the only ones looking at him, Lakers were after him as well.

I have no idea why you hate Jalen Green, but clearly you do. He not only has trade value, he is our 2nd best asset.

If we manage to use the MLE to get Simons or Sexton, I don't want to hear anyone calling this a bad deal. That combo will make it lopsided in our favor because both of those guys are at least as good as Grayson.

I'd like either one of those guys. Sexton especially seems like a player that can go off at any given moment. Reminds me of Jamal Crawford.

But we will have to resign him next summer. And that is not a given since he will be an unrestricted FA. As much as I would hate it, if he does not produce, they need to let him walk even if they did give up an unrestricted first round pick. One bad choice does not require another.

Suns will likely be looking at free agents. We might know who they are looking at later today or tomorrow.

i'm not impressed with the free agent guards being listed - almost like why bother
Lots of players up for trade though.

As far as team chemistry goes, I am beginning to really be intrigued by a Green for Giddey trade. As I look at this team, I think we need a bigger starting pg who can play D and shoot the 3.

We kinda had one in Grayson, but oh well.

He’s not. And it was widely reported that we tried to reroute him in the KD trade to no avail.

He consistently makes his team worse. All style, no substance player.

The Suns will exercise the $2.58 million non-guaranteed team option on Jamaree Bouyea.

Kuminga is now a free agent.

Not a bad backup plan if Sexton, Grimes, or Simons decline our offers.

If we hadn't traded for Bridges I would think it likely we pursue him, but with Bridges it doesn't make much sense.

It would also totally block Fleming from playing time.

I wonder if the Suns could snag Daniel Gafford in a trade with the Mavericks.

Center Khaman Maluach is not ready. Oso Ighodaro can't shoot and Mark Williams is frequently injured. Suns could use a big man.

Guard Quentin Grimes is also intriguing.
The suns are not trading for a fourth center.

Probably not but the question for me, shouldn't they?

The center situations feels a lot like last season unless the Suns decide to slide their power forwards over but Bridges and Peat may be too small for that.

It is like last year except Oso is another year older and getting stronger and the 10th pick in the draft should start earning more burn. I would be absolutely shocked if they traded for/signed a center that had any expectation of seeing court time.

Correct. What the Suns need now are players who are upgrades or better fits.

A pass first, 3 point shooting, defensive pg--someone in a Jrue mold. Giddey seems to the closes thing but don't think he is available.
Three point shooting at the 4 or 5 position--Cam Johnson would be great here. We don't need another center. Maybe Fleming is this guy.
A prolific rebounder. 3, 4, 5. I don't care. I just don't want our best rebounding talent to be an undersized shooting guard.
Guard or wing 3 point shooting specialist to replace Allen--Brea?

This Bridges move was completely unnecessary. Yikes.

My guess, before the season is over, the Suns will need to improve at center unless Maluach develops.

I believe giddey improved his 3 ball last season but wasnt he a dreadful shooter prior? And I thought he was a poor defender.
