The sixth season of girls flag football in the Shore Conference saw the sport continue to grow.
Thirty schools had flag football teams this past season. That was eight more than in the 2025 season.
One of the Shore Conference's new teams - Barnegat - exploded on to the scene by rolling to the Shore Conference Tournament championship with a dominant display on both sides of the ball and with a talented sophomore and freshman class.
Divisional champions were: Barnegat (South); Middletown South and Holmdel (North) and Trinity Hall (Central).
The sport will continue to grow next season. That season will be the first season it is an NJSIAA sanctioned sport, which means it will also be the first season the sport has a state tournament.
Here is the Coaches All-Shore Teams - first and second teams. The Asbury Park Press thanks league director John Tierney in compiling and providing the list and for his major input.
School: Barnegat.
Year: Sophomore.
Position: Quarterback/defensive back.
Highlights: The Asbury Park Press' Player of the Year, Chamorro, who was discovered by the Barnegat coaching staff while playing a powder puff game in the fall of 2025, led first-year program Barnegat to a 12-0 season and the Shore Conference Tournament championship. Barnegat averaged 36.3 points a game and had nine games where it scored 32 points or more. She threw 43 TD passes and just two interceptions and was 182-for-286 for 3,203 yards. Chamorro threw for 408 yards and four TDs in the Bengals' 39-12 win over Middletown South in the SCT championship game. She had four games where she threw five TDs or more, including seven in the 43-20 win over Central in the SCT semifinal. She also threw for 497 yards in that game. Chamorro had four games where she threw for 324 yards or more and 10 games where she threw for 210 yards or more. She also rushed for 586 yards and three TDs on 47 carries. Chamorro had 29 flag pulls.
School: Middletown South
Year: Senior.
Position: Quarterback/defensive back.
Highlights: A three-year starter, Czwakiel led Middletown South to Shore Conference Tournament championship game. She was 131-for-200 for 1,955 yards and 25 TD passes and rushed for 1.097 yards and eight TDs. She threw at least two TD passes in 10 of the Eagles' 12 games, including two games where she had four TD passes. She was 22-for-29 for 300 yards and two TDs in Middletown South's 31-13 win over then unbeaten Trinity Hall in the SCT semifinal. Czwakiel also rushed for 96 yards and two TDs in that game. She had five games where she rushed for a TD, including three games with two TDs. She accounted for five TDs (three passing) and 327 yards of total offense (167 rushing) in the Eagles' 36-18 win over Middletown North.
School: Barnegat
Year: Sophomore
Position: Wide receiver/safety.
Highlights: The tall and athletic Holmes is the Asbury Park Press Offensive Player of the Year. She was a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. She had 20 TD receptions and 52 receptions for 1,031 yards. She had at least one TD in 11 games and eight games with two TD receptions or more, including four against Central in the SCT semifinal. She had six receptions for 189 yards in that game. She had nine receptions for 132 yards and two TDs in Barnegat's 34-0 win over Brick Memorial and six receptions for 152 yards and a TD in the SCT championship game. Holmes also had 17 flag pulls and three interceptions. She returned one of the interceptions for a TD.
School: Barnegat
Year: Freshman.
Position: Wide receiver/defensive back.
Highlights: Giangregorio was part of Barnegat's outstanding receiving corp. She had 36 receptions for 703 yards and nine TDs. She had eight receptions for 155 yards and a TD in the SCT final. She also had eight receptions for 113 yards and two TDs in Barnegat's 40-20 win over Brick Township and seven receptions for 152 yards and two TDs against Central in the SCT semifinal. Defensively, Giangregorio had 33 flag pulls, including 11 in Barnegat's 14-7 win over Pinelands. She also had seven flag pulls in the SCT final.
School: Central
Position: Quarterback/athlete
Year: Junior.
Highlights: Gifford helped Central go 9-3 and advance to the Shore Conference Tournament semifinal before it was defeated by Barnegat. She was 92-for-157 for 1,113 yards with 17 TD passing and rushed for 829 yards and 11 TDs on 133 carries. Gifford threw four TD passes in Central's 32-6 win over Brick Township and rushed for 121 yards and three TDs on 16 carries in the Golden Eagles' 40-0 win over Shore and had 120 yards and a TD on 18 carries in Central's 14-13 win over Pinelands and 120 yards and a TD on 17 carries against Barnegat.
School: Pinelands
Year: Senior.
Position: Rusher.
Highlights: The Asbury Park Press' Defensive Player of the Year, Kilne had 19 sacks, 79 flag pulls, 10 of which were for a She also had three interceptions, one of which she returned for a TD. She had six games with two sacks or more, including five against Central. She also had three sacks in the Wildcats' 25-7 win over New Egypt in the first round of the Shore Conference Tournament. Kline also rushed for 627 yards and five TDs on 55 carries.
School: Holmdel
Year: Senior
Position: Wide receiving/safety
Highlights: Yasnowski helped Holmdel go 8-2 and qualify for the Shore Conference Tournament. She had 17 receptions for 306 yards and five TDs and was in on 20 flag pulls, one of which was for a loss. She also had two interceptions and a sack.
School: Rumson-Fair Haven
Year: Senior.
Position: Running back/wide receiver/linebacker/cornerback.
Highlights:Santos was the only two-way player for Rumson-Fair Haven. She was the Bulldogs' leading scorer the last two seasons. Rumson-Fair Haven advanced to the Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinal before it was defeated by Trinity Hall.
School: Keansburg
Year: Sophomore.
Position: Running back/linebacker.
Highlights: Mathis was a major contributor on both sides of the ball for a team that went 6-4 and qualified for the Shore Conference Tournament before it was defeated by Rumson-Fair Haven in the first round. She scored 54 points, rushed for 560 yards with severall 66-yard TD runs, had 300 yards receiving, returned an interception for a TD and had six sacks and 42 flag pulls.
School: Colts Neck
Year: Freshman
Position: Quarterback/wide receiver/rusher/safety
Highlights: Heal was an all-around contributor for a team that went 8-3 and qualified for the Shore Conference Tournament. She rushed for 1,055 yards and 11 TDs, had 33 receptions for 495 yards and three TDs and had five interceptions and 47 tackles. She rushed for 250 yards and three TDs on 17 carries in the season-opener against Red Bank Catholic, had 181 yards and two TDs on 16 carries in Colts Neck's 26-6 win over Manalapan and 168 yards and two TDs on 13 carries in the Cougars' 28-25 win over Manalapan. She had at least 124 yards rushing in six games.
School: Neptune
Year: Junior
Position: Running back/wide receiver/defensive back
Highlights: One of the Shore's best all-around players, Ellington returned five interceptions for TDs and had six INTs in all. She also rushed for 692 yards and five TDs on 64 carries, had 14 receptions for 278 yards and five TDs and had 48 flag pulls. She returned three INTs for TDs in the Scarlet Fliers' 41-13 season-opening win over Freehold Borough. She had 139 yards and two TDs on four carries in Neptune's 40-0 win over Ranney and four receptions for 83 yards and two TDs in the Scarlet Fliers' 32-8 win over Marlboro.
School: Middletown North
Year: Senior
Position: Athlete
Highlights: Reid is a wide receiver/free safety/punter and punt returner. She had eight interceptions, including one she returned 80 yards for a YD. She also led Middletown North in flag pulls. Reid accounted for 10 TDs - six receivving, three rushing and the interception return. All of her rushing TDs were 60 yards or more.
School: New Egypt
Year: Senior
Position: Quarterback
Highlights: Adams was a key player on a team that went 6-4 and qualified for the Shore Conference Tournament. She threw for 396 yards and 11 TDs, rushed for 220 yards and six TDs on 25 carries. Defensively, she returned an interception for a TD and had eight flag pulls. She threw for 188 yards and two TDs in New Egypt's 18-8 win over Brick Township and rushed for 81 yards and a TD on five carries against Pinelands and 78 yards and a TD on eight carries in New Egypt's 20-8 win over Howell.
School: Trinity Hall
Year: Sophomore
Position: Quarterback/defensive back.
Highlights: DeRosa was one of the leaders for a Trinity Hall team that won its first 10 games and defeated three-time defending SCT champion Rumson-Fair Haven 6-0 in the SCT quarterfinal before it was defeated by Middletown South in the SCT semifinal. She was 204-for-329 for 2,031 yards and 31 TDs, rushed for 235 yards on 35 carries and had 11 interceptions, two of which she returned for TDs. DeRosa had five games where she threw for 227 yards or more, including a 248-yard, five TD performance in the Monarchs' 471-13 win over Neptune and a 285-yard, four TD performance in Trinity Hall's 42-0 win over Marlboro. She had three INTs in the Monarch's 13-12 win over Manalapan and against Neptune.
School: Trinity Hall
Year: Senior
Position: Wide receiver.
Highlights: Rigney was another key contributor for Trinity Hall. She had 14 TD receptions and 63 receptions for 826 yards and she was in on 51 flag pulls and had an interception. She had at least five receptions in seven games. She had nine receptions for 98 yards and four TDs in Trinity Hall's 42-12 win over Ranney and hine receptions for 111 yards and a TD against Neptune. Rigney also had seven receptions for 87 yards and two TDs in the Monarchs' 49-7 win over Freehold Borough.
School: Red Bank Catholic
Position: Linebacker.
Highlights: Bailey helped the Caseys go 5-3 and advance to the SCT quarterfinal before they were defeated by Barnegat. She had seven sacks, two interceptions and 64 flag pulls. She also had two TDs on offense.

Jayla Kline, Pinelands
Andrew Petruzzi, Barnegat.
Petruzzi, who has been an assistant coach with Barnegat's football team, guided Barnegat's first-year flag football program to a sensational season with a team consisting of mostly freshman and sophomores. Barnegat outscored its opposition 399-85 with nine games where it scored 32 points or more. He and his coaching staff discovered Chamorro while she was playing a powder puff game last fall and built the Bengals offense around her talents and the talents of the team's receiving corp.
