Pre-Draft Analysis

Virgil spent his final season at Texas Tech after three years at Miami (Ohio). He has a very long frame but maintains good fluidity. He can high-point the ball, generally playing with good balance. Virgil's lack of great top speed will be noticeable at the next level, forcing him to make a mark through contested catches. He has shown the ability to do that, securing 18 contested catches over the past two seasons. -- Scouts Inc.

Uuuugh. I wanted Hecht here as backup/replacement for center. And then jags pick him with the very next pick. Hecht fits MLFs system. I think this is the first big whiff of the draft and I don't like Beck but I at least understand it.
