It seems like every year a player loses time due to a non-contact injury in training camp. Guess we should get rid of practices, too.
Wednesday he comes back to life…Tuesday: He dead
This is an unserious post. What is this supposed to accomplish? It seems like every year a player loses time due to a non-contact injury in training camp. Guess we should get rid of practices, too.
Pathological…Dawg, c’mon, lol. You are so much smarter than this.
My guess is every coach, anonymously, want their guys to play. They have just come to accept this not playing them as the new way of this world. Some coaches agree and some disagree.
Full game.In a full game or just a half?
Oh, did I forget a sarcasm emoji. I know some around here are not fluent. Guys get hurt in practice, guys get hurt in preseason games, and guys get hurt in regular season games. It's laughable to think we can wrap these players in bubble wrap until the season starts and everything will be fine and dandy. First play on the field could end their season or even their career, but hey - at least they can say they got hurt when it mattered, right? This is an unserious post. Who do you think is holding back these coaches from playing their guys? The GM? The players themselves? My guess is every coach, anonymously, want their guys to play. They have just come to accept this not playing them as the new way of this world.
That is a strong basic philosophy. Basic.Oh, did I forget a sarcasm emoji. I know some around here are not fluent. totally agree. Bubble wrap everyone except, well, bubble players. That is a strong basic philosophy. Basic.
But it overlooks the simple fact that late in pre season games the guys in there are bubble players..dudes looking to make an impact, get noticed, hopefully stick on a roster. These guys play more fast and loose..letting bodies fly more haphazardly than settled NFL players.
I dont have any "stats" to back it up... but I would bet money more guys get hurt later in pre season games than earlier... its not good to have established players on the field with dudes trying to make a name for themselves.
Yeah, I would not practice them, either. The best ground is to not play the starters.
I don’t know if I’ve ever heard someone say this about an injured player. This seems like the ultimate straw man.Don’t play preseason, get injured in regular season.. he needed to play in preseason!
Which is kinda crazy because he was on the Jets staff when Breece Hall was injured after seven games and two starts.I'm chalking this injury up to rookie HC mistake. Unfortunately, I would have liked to see him learn that lesson a week earlier when he played Bisconti too long as well and lost him for the season. But it is what it is... a bummer because we instantly become less watchable if he's not ready to start the season... but it's a lost season anyway so best to be as conservative now with him as possible... I guess.
