On offense. It's about injuries.

The Vokelek injury caused AZ to use more 6th OL. Beachum played 27% of snaps.

Carter and Knight played season high snaps is a large part because Demercado left early with injury.

Same for Wilson, Jones and Dortch. Dortch got 44% snaps and Jones 79% snaps. MHJ played 17 total snaps before leaving with a concussion.

On defense. It's all about that base.

ADG played a season high in snaps. 85%

Only 5 DBs played more than 20% of snaps. Baker. JT. Melton. Will J. DTD. Clark was the 3rd CB in and played 15%. Burke played 2 defensive snaps.

Guys named Carter, Mustipher and Good low played DL snaps. 41%. 32% 15%.

Burch got quasi benched. Played a season low 29% of snaps.

Nichols being inactive due to personal reasons probably led to more fringe DL guys getting reps. I do wonder if the 4Q misery stems a bit from our best DL players being old. That's obviously a weak excuse for bad play but could be a contributing factor.

I thought Bam filled a role yesterday and did better than I thought he would

Definitely disappointed with Carter getting run over trying to block

How long has he been in the league?

ADG didn't impress.

Yeah for sure. We’re back in the Dark Days of DL personnel.

So crazy. 6 weeks in and the two biggest strengths of this team, also the positions with the most depth heading into the season (DL and RB), are already scraping the bottom of the barrel. Throw in a decimated CB room with three of your top guys out. The Bye week can't get here soon enough as injuries mount up.

the Cards have plenty of issues when healthy --

but low key -- the Cards have been really unlucky injury wise now for 3 years in a row. Top 5 or so in terms of games missed

and its not like Monti has signed / drafted guys with injury histories -- quite the opposite

I thought Gannon said post game Demercado left with an injury which I thought I saw as well. I don't believe there was any punishment.
Demaercado hurt himself celebrating a play he had no part of. Think it was a KO return. It happened right in front of me. I said something right when it happened and he was limping off the field. That guy's a clown and needs to be let go. Hurt the team again.

A guy nobody is talking about that is having a bad year is Budda. He's not making the plays he's made in the past and is a liability in coverage. On the last Indy drive, this play happened right in front of me, he was in position to at least knock the pass away but he made no play on the ball. I believe it was a pretty big 3rd down pass to Warren. Add the dropped INT he's not been very good this year.
I was laughing because after he dropped the INT, he was over practicing catching the ball on the sidelines.

Yeah several of us called out Budda yesterday. The dropped INT was huge but there were multiple other plays he just didn't make.

3 years and 21M flushed down the drain. Nichols was a total garbage signing.

Some quick thoughts on this.

1 - Budda has not been great this year, so agreement.

2 - I don't know that it is ideal to have him paired next to Jalen Thompson.

3 - Essentially only one more year on his contract.

4 - He at least seem to care.

5 - How many different combinations of DBs is he going to have to get used to playing with?
