Who do you want in this year's draft? I left out Cooper Flag, Dylan Harper, Edgecombe and Knueppel.

There are about a half dozen guys I would consider to be "good" picks, a few more that I think are shots in the dark but I could understand depending on who else was available, and a few that would be straight up disasters.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if the Suns take one of the duds. I fully expect Richardson to be on their short list, just because... reasons.

What about Johni Broome, the center (I think he’s a PF in nba) from auburn?

I'm hyper focused on Maluach but feel like we'll take Queen as Maluach will likely be gone. Queen isn't bad but he's not exciting either as I think his ceiling is pretty low, IMO. I'd be surprised if he's a long term starter.

Kasparas Jakucionis will be one of the best players in this draft. He isn't a positional need but would give us a good young playmaker for the long term.

I like Maluach too...the mocks I have seen have him going around 8...maybe we can package 10 and a couple of those 2's and move up a couple spots?

I think the Pelicans at #7 are the main team to watch as far as taking him. They need a C bad.

Brooklyn (#8) has Claxton and Toronto (#9) has Poeltl. I know both have been rumored in trades though so it's tough to call.

#10 and a 2nd rounder might get us up a spot as it would save those teams guaranteed salary money also. We have #29 as well, which could be in play, but I think using #29 in a package with someone like Grayson Allen might net us a mid round pick and clear salary.

My expectations are as low as possible.

We have the 10th pick acquired days ago, by a GM hired weeks ago who has never done anything remotely like his current job, and an owner who has made one bad choice after another and has said his solution is to get MORE involved.

My dark scenario... we attach this pick to Beal, using it to move his contract... if that happens I will blow my gord, using the only asset from the Durant trade to clear Beal's contract would be malpractice beyond reason. We'd have been better off trading Durant anyone who could absorb his deal for absolutely no return, just dumping his contract.

My best case scenario... we trade back with a team like OKC, pick up multiple firsts, get lots of bites at the apple, extremely important for a team with almost no ability to bring in players outside of minimum contracts.

IMO they did well in the previous draft. Not sure if those people are still doing that job (scouting) or if it was James Jones or whoever targetting Dunn and Oso.

Hopefully these are the same people. I read Brian Gregory had a huge say in the selection of Dunn and Oso.
