1 - Snap %s for Wilson, Jones and Dortch show an increase in 11 personnel with Tip out. Interestingly enough, the offense looked better at times than in week 1. No idea if there is correlation there.

2 - Managing Conner's workload is going well. 55 - 44 snap % split between Conner and Benson is a nice continuation of week 1.

3 - 54 snaps on offense is not good. A coupe unique things factored into that but the Cardinals need to be better.

4 - Now we see why they rostered Vokolek on the final 53. He got 33% snaps.

1 - K9 just pointed it out above and I mentioned it in the offensive thoughts, 85 snaps for Carolina. That is a rare workload in the NFL for a defense to manage.

2 - Denzel Burke had to play 79% of snaps (67) with the Melton injury. Crazy.

3 - Dante Stills paced the DL crew with 54% of snaps. DRobinson in second with 52%.

4 - Vet DL got their work in. Dalvin played 46% and CC played 44%. In the broadcast they said the Cardinals are tryin to manage CCs workload.

5 - The EDGE rotation is an actual rotation which I find kinda wild. Burch led with 51%, then Sweat 49%, Collins 48% and Browning 48%.

6 - Collier going out hurt in this one. Mustipher is a nothing burger rushing the passer (DRob is kinda the same too).

wild benson had that many snaps and only 3 rushes - im not tripping - it shows his game is evolving beyond carries

7 total targets to WRs in the entire game is unacceptable. This offense is worse than last years. Thankfully the defense has been better. A general theme for the Monti/Gannon Cardinals has been a lack of growth and improvement. It's not everywhere of course, but in general, young players don't seem to be getting better, and the schemes are not getting more creative. It's early of course and this is a bit dramatic but I don't know that it is wrong.

Robinson not earning his number of snaps.
Obviously not based on statistics. Ultimately, if Stills continues to total more snaps that he is it is an indicator he is underperforming. Robinson will continue to get a large % of snaps due to the ages of Dalvin and CC.

The other side of it is he certainly won't get better if he isn't playing so the Cardinals do have to keep putting him on the field.

The bolded part is painful to read, but hard to argue.

Conner averaging 3.2 yards a carry so far is concerning (4.6 YPC in 2024).

50 rushing yards from our RBs yesterday is not good enough. Not with the WR room we have.

The PHNX guys called the WRs yesterday "Cardio Bros" since all they do is run empty routes and block. I noticed MHJ start to get disinterested throughout the game as Kyler was ignoring him. While I dont excuse that, it's important to give your WRs routes so that they're not losing focus.

The lack of WR utilization is a major issue, and something that good DCs will scheme against. Drew's offense is becoming less dynamic and more predictable. Take away the seam route, push the offense outside and I'm not sure that Drew and Kyler have the chops to figure out how to counter.

I kind of worry that we have another Jonathon Cooper situation in Darius Robinson. Cooper looked explosive and nasty in those preseason games before breaking his leg. He could never get that back either through a physical limitation or a mental block. David Johnson may have also experienced that when his leg bent horribly in that last game of 2016 vs the Rams. He was never the same. Robinson just seems like a really intelligent and sensitive kind of guy. He had the injury coupled with his mom’s passing. That is quite a bit to take in mentally.

Starting to fear for DP's job security some, but he's not being helped out by his offensive line.

McBride is productive. Murray is... okay?

I guess it's possible Murray is not doing a good enough job of getting the ball to the WRs, although it's infuriating to watch MHJ drop perfectly thrown passes.

If we change OC's in the middle of the year it will be a ******* disaster.

If you promote Drew Terrell, it may not be. Drew Terrell is the guy usually sitting with Kyler between series, so you'd hope he'd try to game plan for Kyler. I'd like to see if sooner than later if this keeps up.

I agree that the lack of WR utilization is an issue. They are cardio bros and anyone who has watched football has heard announcers talk about getting WRs involved early. Going back to WRs after they make a drop. Our offense does none of that. I don't think it is Kyler ignoring the WRs as much as Kyler just running the plays being called, and Petzing does nothing to get his WRs involved in the game. That issue is exacerbated by the inept running game that is on the field this year without Adams as run-coordinator.

I think Darius Robinson has zero clue how to rush the passer outside of a bull rush. He doesn't seem to use angles nor does he use his hands much to disengage. He gets clamped and then can't do much. Another player who I don't feel is showing improvement.

1 - MHJ dropped 1 perfectly thrown pass. H as also targeted 4 times in an entire game. I'm not sure what he is supposed to do with that volume.

2 - DP sucks. The offensive coaching seems to suck outside of maybe the TE room. The play calling sucks. I don't believe there is one answer to improving the offense on the coaching staff at this time. It was a small group to begin with and the best part seems to have taken a promotion elsewhere.

Maybe this is lazy analysis on my part, but when a rookie suffers a major injury to start their career, I don’t have a lot of hope of them having a solid NFL future. We saw that with Cooper and now Robinson. Has me worried about Nolan

Kind of lost in the numbers is Will Johnsons usage increased, even though he was out (groin injury) at the end of the game. Nice to see his increased usage, but our CB room is F'd for the next few weeks, at minimum.

Other than Tip Reiman, our Offensive usage remained remarkably consistent between the first two games, with the exception of a few Jumbo formations with Beachum and Gaines.

As for the lack of passes to the WR's, I've always been convinced that is a Kyler issue, and not DP. He's quick to take the check-downs, but he takes forever to do it. This game highlighted it more than others.

For the running game, the blame goes squarely on Monti. I pounded the drum that he was weakening the IOL and he has indeed done so. Adams and Brown are two headaches for Fro. A center can only compensate for one at a time. Our IOL isn't good enough to replicate last season's run game.

Oh man, that drop by MHJ was infuriating.
