He's a project. He will be fine, just not this yearI guess Klutch sold us on him with that phoney call during the draft.

Yep, and the Suns brass knew this.I think a lot of us were questioning the logic of the Williams trade after drafting Maluach (myself included), but it's clear that he's a much bigger project than most fans anticipated.
Saying he will be fine is being optimistic to say the least. He's a project. He will be fine, just not this year
I knew nothing of him other than watching a couple 8 minute highlight videos and that was enough for me to not want the Suns to pick him. Even in his highlights which were 90% dunks it was clear he was not very skilled, and not very athletic.I think a lot of us were questioning the logic of the Williams trade after drafting Maluach (myself included), but it's clear that he's a much bigger project than most fans anticipated.
Most players aren’t 19 with a couple years of experienceSaying he will be fine is being optimistic to say the least.
More players don't develop than do develop.

I remember a Sports Illustrated article on what a project Manute Bol was. They outlined a high calorie diet, tons of weight lifting, including a picture of him doing squats with a really light weight. The article was noting the risk it was to take an unathletic big like that. He worked out pretty well in my opinion. To me if you are going to draft a project, the project at least needs to be a good athlete.
wow now those are some stats!Man Man (27p, 15r, 4b) and Flemming (27p, 13r, 3s) went off tonight.
nick richards played beyond horrible against denver and got zero playing time against the lukasMan Man (27p, 15r, 4b) and Flemming (27p, 13r, 3s) went off tonight.
I watched a video on Bol that had interviews with teammates. Apparently he drank Heineken all of the time to help gain weight and he was basically drunk every game he ever played in the NBAI remember a Sports Illustrated article on what a project Manute Bol was. Wikepedia: "
The Washington Bullets drafted Bol in the second round with the 31st overall selection.[27]
When he arrived in the United States, Bol weighed 180 pounds (82 kg)[28] and had gained just under 20 pounds (9.1 kg) by the time he entered the NBA. The Bullets sent Bol to strength training with University of Maryland coach Frank Costello, where he could initially lift only 44 pounds (20 kg) on 10-repetition bench press and 55 pounds (25 kg) on 10-repetition squat[29] (his body mass index was 15.3 and he initially had a 31" (80 cm) waist).[30]"
They are developing the right way. They are using the G league like the minor leagues in baseball. I am thrilled with this.nick richards played beyond horrible against denver and got zero playing time against the lukas
if maluach got 27 pts it's because they were getting him the ball - if they were getting him the ball then the writing is on the wall because they didn't care one bit in the previous game
this is just one game - it's g-league - and ott plays to win (not to develop) but honestly if manman is to get minutes he just has to beat richards out on defense
