nice summary of some players -- including a shout out for an ASU guy who might be a target for the Cards in Rd 2

From Louis Riddick:

More Sr Bowl thoughts:1) Having called the games of so many of these players during the season, I felt as locked into this group as any in recent years.
2) The National Team LB group as a whole set the tone for the 3 days of practice. Kyle Louis, Jacob Rodriguez, Kaleb Elarms-Orr, Bryce Boettcher… were flying around making play after play after play. Such a fundamentally sound group.
3) National Team Safety Bud Clark of TCU is an absolute ball hawk. Just like he was when I studied him this fall. He is a true disrupter. You want to improve your turnover differential, draft Bud Clark.
4) American Team WR Malachi Fields is Mr Automatic. You put it near him, he is going to catch it, and it doesn’t matter if he is covered or not.
5) American Team RT Max Iheanachor (ASU) is the perfect OT body type with super quick feet, good strength, and an increasingly nasty playing personality that started to show. He has so much upside!6) I would do whatever is necessary to make sure I could have American Team DL’s Zion Young and Caleb Banks on my team. Enough said.

Count me “in” on Eric McAlister.
Decent Recruit (88 Prospect Grade).
Involved as a true freshman (11/259/4).
Led Boise St. in receiving as a SO. (47/873/5).
Transferred to TCU & posted 39/762/5 & 72/1190/10 in 2 seasons – including a whopper 8/254/3 game against SMU this past year.
80+ PFF Receiving Grade in 3/4 seasons (never below 77.5).2.60+ YPRR every season – & averaged a ridiculous 2.86 YPRR for his career.
Didn’t win consistently in contested-situations (career 45.2% success-rate).
But posted ELITE numbers after-the-catch (career 7.4 YAC/reception; .297 MTF/reception); posted 27 MTF on 71 receptions in 2025.
Dude averaged an electric 18.2 YPR on 169 career receptions.Off the field issues may have deflated his draft stock (arrested in 2024).

LB does seem to be solid in this class and might pair well with need.

Bud Clark was impressive. I don't really have a great gauge on where he goes in the draft. Safeties are tough for me. Maybe 3rd or 4th round?

Big Max is one of my favorites for round 2.

I asked Jaxon Smith-Njigba what he thought about Jordyn Tyson entering the draft process:

"He's explosive, he's a great player. He definitely can make plays all around the field, you can line him up everywhere. He's definitely going to be a guy I continue to watch."

One of my favorite players in the draft is Kaelon Black the RB from Indiana. He plays and runs so hard. First guy rarely takes him down. Not sure where he's projected but he'd be great in round 4.

Clark is likely day 3. Round tough to project this early.

Having watched all the Arkansas games I would love to take Mike Washington in 4th if he's still there. He has the vision to make cuts and find the openings. Hard runner and has enough speed. I hate watching running backs who run to where the play is designed and when that's plugged up they just run into the backs of their own offensive lineman instead of cutting right or left to an opening. I know all of them do it sometimes but there are those who are better at seeing the opening and cutting to it.

Really like how this TE class is shaping up beyond Sadiq and into the middle/late rounds. Different body types, different skillsets, teams that do their due diligence on the position will find value deep into the weekend.
• Michael Trigg, Baylor
• Dallen Bentley, Utah
• Sam Roush, Stanford
• Eli Raridon, Notre Dame
• Nate Boerkircher, Texas A&M
• Tanner Koziol, Houston
• Justin Joly, NC State
• Bauer Sharp, LSU
• Seydou Traore, Miss St
Among others…

Jacob Rodriguez, T Tech. The Cards keep drafting these triangle number MLBs to mixed (at best) results. Rodriguez has football IQ/instincts off the charts
