Eh, blind golly-gee homers like @tnmike bring it out of me. I'm just my usual pessimistic self, and let's say it's being magnified in response.

And, yeah, this was funny. Like, I'd never be cruel to animals. Well, maybe to Tango and that deer lol
I find being pessimistic to be less enjoyable personally.

This team has ALOT of "ifs" and I get that they could fail. But at least there are "ifs".

In 2018 there were no "ifs"...that team was going to blow no matter what. Last year was a little better. And this team is clearly more talented, and they are showing it in training camp.

Some interesting info in this.
Forgot to post this from the same article.
• Trent Sherfield, anyone? The Niners love the camp he’s having. And even if he can’t crack a rotation that’ll include the fast-improving Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel, there should at least be a special-teams role for him in San Francisco.

• Rookie Marco Wilson’s cover skills have stood out for the Cardinals, as has the fact that they can move him around in the secondary. If Malcolm Butler shows signs of decline—and Arizona’s bracing for that—Wilson could be a godsend.

I think this team is substantially more talented than Arians last season at pretty much every position.

QB? Absolutely.
RB? YESH! David Johnson was hurt
WR? Absolutely. That team only had Fitz.
TE? About the same, though I'd argue a healthy Maxx is better.
OL? Way better.

DL? Not even close. That teams best lineman was probably Frosted.
LB? Way more talented.
CB? Depth is better, but Peterson was still a CB1.
S? Probably about the same.
Specialists? Prater is an all time great.
Cheese wasn’t comparing the teams he was stating how he felt about them.

No I mean the negative nonsense and BS that certain people constantly advance before a single game is played this season. It's like they want the team to fail so they can pontificate and stand there and whine " I told you so " . What good does it do ? If a person is that miserable they need to find something else to do.
I dunno the only miserable people I see on this board are those that like to attack other posters. Otherwise I see posters talking football . . . on a football board. Crazy I know.

I've been watching this team since 1973. Past history hasn't been good, in fact very bad. But that is in the past. It's a new year and until the results start to come in I won't criticize
By your reasoning you shouldn’t get excited either. Proof being in the eating and all . . .

This is what I find ridiculous for all the people needlessly bashing the team.

I dont think anyone expects JJ Watt to be a DPOY candidate or AJ Green to be an All Pro. I think the more optimistic on this board think those guys are upgrades from last year, thats all.

Watt is a significant upgrade from Blackson. Massive. Even at this point in his career. AJ Green is better than Fitzgerald is. Butler was at least as good as Peterson, and the depth at CB is better.

You'd think the Cardinals went 3-13 the way the darksiders post on this forum. The Cardinals were ONE win away from the freaking playoffs. And the teams reaction is quite telling; they went after leaders and veterans. The WR corps looks absolutely stacked right now, and the DL AND OL is as talented as its been in a really long time.

On paper, this is a team that can win football games.
The irony is the koolaiders blowing the darksiders comments outta proportion. It’s like if anyone criticizes the team they’re marked with the scarlet 3-14. Truth is, you can think many of the moves might be failures and the team could still win 7-9 games which likely isn’t far off from what the kookaiders would predict (at least the reasonable ones).

If you look across the entirety of the NFL media coverage, it's pretty much all of the same.

Kingsbury stated a few weeks ago that he recently learned that the team doesn't have to provide accurate injury reports. To me, it sounds like NORMAL training camp precautionary injury situations, nothing too major.

As far as the reporting on Cardinals players, we are hearing pretty much the same reporting between the traditional Cardinals media AND the non-traditional web based reporting.

On the flipside, I'd argue some of the NEGATIVE comments on here aren't taking into account that the Cardinals were one win away from a playoff appearance and mostly improved the team.
From what I’ve seen the negative posts have been directed at players or positions. Haven’t seen many negative projections of record, have you?

Great way of saying it. I feel the upper limit of this team is say, 10 wins. Maybe a wild card playoff appearance, maybe a win. It's not that we're the worst team in the league, it's that we're middling, poorly coached, and have a roster that isn't sustainable into the future.

And at the end of the day, we can't handle Kyler even being slightly below 100% healthy to win a game, from what I've seen. It's wild to think it hasn't been that long since I thought coaching and other talent could make up for Drew Stanton being in at QB.

We didn't draft a tigh end, we didn't resign Arnold which will make the FO regrets as the season goes on, we signed two undrafted tigh ends, and one of them as been paid a lot for an UDFA
This week they have cut the UDFAs tigh ends abd signed a journeyman
At today we have just an injury prone blocker and Daniels in the probable 53
Hearing someone expecting green getting the Arnold snaps in the middle is funny, the tigh end position is pretty ignored so far, sometimes people doesn't learn from mistakes

He's done it his entire career... His freak athletic ability likely helps to prevent constant turnovers, but yea, NFL defenders are too quick and too skilled. There is a reason NO ball-handler carries the ball that way and remains viable in the NFL over the long-haul. He needs to be coached up hard on this issue...
100% agree

He needs to tuck the ball in

DC's are looking at film along with DB's and LB's for ways to create turnovers

This is an opportunity for them that can be avoided

You say this and in an earlier post you compared the Cardinals to the JETS...

I don't see how my position of waiting until games to be played makes me a homer. I want to see good results as much as anyone but I won't criticize until some results are revealed this year
It’s about analyzing what you believe this season will be like. It’s easy to say” I’ll wait before I criticize” or I’ll wait before I compliment”. Enjoy the sidelines but don’t blast people that AREN’T afraid to take a stand one way or the other.

Anyone that feels that I have blasted anyone is wrong. I don't see how anyone can come to a conclusion on this season before it has started.

I don't believe anyone is coming to conclusions and are instead voicing opinions based on what they see and hear from camp and from a historical perspective of the team. Some of it is based on what a person sees as shortcomings and/or lack of talent again based on what one sees and hears and from their own knowledge of the team and the game. It makes for interesting fodder and discussion.

All Camp bodies. I doubt any of them make the team.
it always seemed (at least) that Josh Mauro gave them some good snaps

it seems that Vance is experimenting(?) with a 4-3 look with CJ as one of the DEs. In that look, i would think you would want a DE type (Watt, Zach Allen, Josh Mauro) on the other side

Agree, I bet we see Watt rush from the inside as well.
