2019 MLB Draft (June 3rd - June 5th)

MLB draft is a completely different draft than other sports. Just because someone us ranked 13 doesn't mean you take him. Between Allen and leiter it has been widely speculated they would be impossible to sign.

I'd imagine the savings they will get by drafting two relievers will allow them to go high upside with one of their comp picks .

I think the dbacks are working this draft very well.

There are still a couple HSers who fell through Day 1 who the D-backs could try to flex their financial muscle with, particularly Matthew Allen (committed to Florida) and Jack Lecter (committed to Vanderbilt). If they did go this route, they would likely start saving right away
