Raanta this *disastrous* and *horrible* season that he’s been absolutely *terrible* in:

.917 sv% (which is the same as Vasilevskiy and Markstrom AKA All Star goalies)

.583 QS% (so he’s more than holding up his end more often than he’s not).

3 RBS out of 24 starts.

Coyotes defenseman Jason Demers has an oblique–muscle injury. He’s going to be out a while; likely status is week to week. Captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson is expected to make this four-game trip through Boston, Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa.

Sources say it’s believed there are at least 20 incidents of the Arizona Coyotes fitness testing draft eligible players. NHL deputy commissioner, Bill Daly and NHL lawyers are now managing the case.

Each violation can carry a fine of $250,000 or more. Club management and amateur scouts around the league are anxiously awaiting the outcome and commissioner Bettman’s ruling. No timeline on when a decision will be reached.

Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet said that Darcy Kuemper is expected to practice tomorrow with the team in Montreal. If he feels good afterward, they are hoping for some good news. In other words, there is a chance he could play against the Canadiens.

I come at the Raanta situation with the firm conviction that physical long-term health is more important than being “gritty” and playing through chronic pain - but this summer, Antti Raanta has to figure something out. Like, I honestly don’t know what to say anymore.
