This team has surpassed all expectations so far, and has risen to consistently be among the league's top teams this year. There's star power on this team finally, and I think it's safe to say that the Coyotes are the Arizona team closest to a league title, by a lot.

Coyotes goalie Antti Raanta (LBI) practiced today but is not yet ready to return to the lineup. Adin Hill will start on Thursday against the red-hot Tampa Bay Lightning (8 straight wins), with Ivan Prosvetov serving as the backup.

Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet said he expects D Niklas Hjalmarsson to return to the lineup before the All-Star break. He said Hjalmarsson is champing at the bit. Not sure which game it will be but it will be soon.

Only 10 NHL coaches have been on the job longer than the Coyotes' Rick Tocchet, who was hired in July of 2017. This league is straight-up insane.
Safe bet: He'll be top 10 by season's end -- maybe by week's end.
