Many of you had asked what the plan was for Comrie. One thing the Coyotes always had in their back pocket was the idea that by claiming him off waivers they had acquired an asset they might be able to use in a trade. They just did that.

Obviously good news for ARI that they realized they wouldn’t need a contingency plan in net, so they’ll send Comrie out.

Red Wings get a promising young goalie in the trade with a fantastic personality. Could be an excellent opportunity for him.

Saarijarvi will report to Tucson ASAP but he will not be in the lineup tonight when the Roadrunners face the Gulls in San Diego.

For Coyotes fans: I've been curious about Saarijärvi for a while now.

He made the best of a *very* less-than-ideal situation his first OHL season playing for a disastrous team in Flint, and he's still young. At the very least, shores up some defensive prospect depth.

#Yotes have allowed 69 goals against this season. The 3rd least in the NHL

Very #nice goaltending & defense this season.
