Do you think it sells out? I think a lot depends on this year, ie Cards making the playoffs.

I sure hope it sells out. You have to think if it's anywhere close Bidwill will just buy out the remaining seats so it can be officially a sellout. Then again thsi is Bidwill we're talking about here... It's going to be humiliating for the team if that 1st game is not sold out...

Actually I totally doubt that. I think they will open at home to showcase the stadium. Don't forget they do have air conditioning. They have been opening on the road for 15+ years now!! The home opponents for 2006 are:

2006
Seattle Seahawks
San Francisco 49ers
St. Louis Rams
Chicago Bears
Detroit Lions
Denver Broncos
Kansas City Chiefs
Same place finisher from NFC East (one of the following teams below)
• Dallas Cowboys
• New York Giants
• Philadelphia Eagles
• Washington Redskins

If I had to bet, I'd go with either: 1) Bears, 2) Broncos, or 3) NFC East finisher if it's the Cowboys.

I think our first game will be game 1 of the season. Maybe a Monday night . The league will not let a grand opening like this one be left for local eyes only.I think we will play a team that we meet in the playoffs this year.

Bears, Broncos, or Cowboys could potentially sell out SDS, let alone the new stadium.

I don't think the NFL cares that much one or another about openings. Didn't we play the Seahags in week 2 back in 2002 as their opening game - it was a week 2 game - and it didn't even sell out if I remember correctly.

Since the Super Bowl champs get to host the Week 1 Thursday night game, the home opener will be the Week 1 Thursday night game.

Bring on the Bears...we need to rekindle this Rivalry!!

Remember in pre-season when the Fridge tossed Lomax like a rag doll long after play was over.

I wanted to kill his Big Mac eating ass!

Even for pre-season that was a great game to watch...
