19-9 in August...

We went 9-4 in July after the break and 1-2 so far in August. We don't play a team over .500 other than the Marlins (.527) until the last three games of the month when the Dodgers come to town. With our bats heating up, this is the month where we can/need to make a surge. I'm predicting 19-9 for the month.

Agree, they need to take advantage of this month's schedule. They also have to take care of business at home, starting tomorrow.

Hopefully, sleeping in their own beds will set them back to winning ways. 7-3 was an amazing trip, now they need to beat up on the weaker opponents. I'm not used to the Braves having the lesser record.

The Diamondbacks and Dodgers both have 51 games. The Diamondbacks have 29 home games and 22 road games left while the Dodgers have 22 at home and 29 on the road. The Diamondbacks need to win their home games.

If the D'backs, before too long, have a starting 1-2-3-4 of Webb, Haren, Johnson and Scherzer, and Conor Jackson stays in LF and continues to hit 3rd with Hudson 2nd, we could do it.

It seems to me like Young hits with much more confidence in the 2 spot, thats when he got hot before this road trip in the 2nd half of the season.

p.s. we should see Upton back later this month, hopefully this time off got things corrrected for him like he was in April! What an addition that would be!
