The 2026 Major League Baseball Draft is July 11-12 and several players with Texas ties could get drafted.

Here is a look at the 10 players who could see their names called.

Grady Emerson, SS, Fort Worth Christian Academy​


No. 1 Texas prospect. Baseball America has him projected as a top-five overall pick in the draft to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Chris Hacopian, SS, Texas A&M​


Baseball America has him projected as a possible first-round pick.

Ruger Riojas, pitcher, University of Texas​


Rojas is a 6-foot-1 right-handed pitcher who struck out 120 batters as a senior.

Sawyer Strosnider, outfielder, Texas Christian​


The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Strosnider competed in the MLB Combine and is a possible first-round draft pick.

Logan Hughes, outfielder, Texas Tech​


Hit 18 homers and walked 50 times for the Red Raiders in the 2026 season.

Cooper Harris, RHP, Flower Mound High School​


A University of Texas commit with a dominant fastball and strike-throwing ability.

Trey Rangel, RHP, The Colony High School​


The 6-foot-1 Rangel throws hard consistently in the mid-90s.

Lucas Nawrocki, LHP/OF, Aledo High School​


Two-way player, strike-throwing and athletic outfielder.Helped Aledo to the state title in Class 5A, Division 1.

James Jorgensen, Infielder/pitcher, Dallas Jesuit Prep​


A University of Texas commit with a strong arm and infield experience.

Drew Gonzalez, Infielder, El Paso Americas​


Gonzalez was the El Paso Times' All-City MVP. He throws right and bats left handed. Cam can play shortstop or third base. He hit 13 home runs and drove in 54 runs. He helped the Trailblazers to the Class 5A, Division 1 regional finals. If he doesn't go play on the professional level, he has signed to play for Texas Tech University.

When is the 2026 MLB Draft?​


This year's Major League Draft is July 11-12 and will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rounds 1-4 will be on Saturday, July 11 and rounds 5-20 will be on Sunday, July 12.
