2. Wendell Bryant, defensive tackle, Wisconsin, first round, 2002 - In 39 games he had just 1½ sacks. Cards thought he could play both inside and outside and as it turns out, he can't play either.

Now that's funny.

Sad....but funny.

Denny said yesterday that most of the non-producing first and second rounders are gone....me thinks he forgot one.

1. Thomas Jones, running back, Virginia, first round, 2000 - Could have had Shaun Alexander but instead the team got from Jones 1,264 yards rushing in three years. Average yards-per carry: 3.3, 3.4 and 3.7.

wow

Isn't Thomas Jones the one who hurt himself while answering his phone or something like that?

According to him and his mother, who he had call the Cards to confirm the story.

I still think he broke it in a bar fight. Didn't some guy try to sue him for getting into a fight in a bar? I want to say it was at The Monestary in Phoenix.

That's the most sensible article Gambo has ever written. He must have had help.

What about Joe Wolf? I have always had s strong resentment that the Cards took Eric Hill and Joe Wolf in the first instead of trading up for Barry Sanders or Dion Sanders. Probably irrational, but what can you do.

Where's the ******* move of 2003? You know, the one where we're arguing for weeks about Leftwich/Suggs, then the cards get bent over by New Orleans in a trade, then pick 2 3rd round guys in the middle of the 1st round. Where's that one on this list?

That one was a biggie Vince.

There were quite a few here at ASFN who were a tad pissed.
