WMBD Sports Recap: Dec. 6, 2025
A fumble recovery along with two interceptions in the final three minutes the Redbirds to the unforgettable upset.
Brock Spack and company elected to go for the two-point conversion with a minute left rather than force overtime with an extra point.
That decision was made days before kickoff, according to Spack.
I made it on Wednesday. You know, I’ve been thinking about it all week. You know, we because I felt that we’ve been in a lot of tight games with these guys, and if it came down to the last possession if we scored and an extra point would tie it, and we had to go to overtime, I didn’t think we would be successful in that scenario. So I said ‘We’re going to we’re going to go for the win right away on one play for three yards.’ So everybody was very calm and they knew were going for two and they went out and executed.

The Redbirds travel to UC Davis for the quarterfinals.
