For Paul, it was a split between two All-Stars that could have been avoided if the two had spoken to one another beforehand. As for the Celtics, Paul believes Brown and Tatum should be having a serious talk ahead of the 2026-27 season, he said, per Game Over podcast.
“I seen the effect that it had on LeBron when Kyrie was traded,” Paul said. “It's only a problem because you don't sit down and communicate,” Paul said. “How can it be a problem when you making $300 million, and I'm making $300 million. What's the problem? What color is your AMEX? Same color as mine. How the hell can it be a problem?”
