Between Caitlin Clark’s exclusion from the WNBA’s 30-year anniversary poster and the suspension of Alyssa Thompson for striking her in the throat, there has been a lot of discourse about the Indiana Fever superstar this week. However, one prominent Barstool Sports personality seems to think the discourse has jumped the shark a bit.
During a recent episode of Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take podcast, PFT Commenter called Caitlin Clark a “loser” as he called for her to “win something.”
‘She’s Never Won a Title’
During an episode of Pardon My Take this week, PFT Commenter and Dan “Big Cat” Katz began discussing the latest Caitlin Clark drama when PFT Commenter, whose real name is Eric Sollenberger, claimed that he would like to “opt out” of discussing the Indiana Fever star until she “wins something.”
“Can I say something about the Caitlin Clark situation? I would like to opt out of all Caitlin Clark discourse until she wins something. Why are we wasting all this time talking about a loser?” PFT Commenter said on the podcast.
“She’s never won a title,” he added.
Clark has had a lot of success individually, breaking countless individual records and racking up a massive collection of awards and accolades. Clark did not win a national title at the college level and has not even won a postseason game at the WNBA level.
‘Very Jealous of Her’
While PFT Commenter might think the discourse is overblown for a player who has not won a championship at either the college or professional level, he did acknowledge that Clark seems to get some unfair treatment from her peers in the league.
“There’s a lot of people that are very jealous of her, a lot of people in the WNBA that clearly go after her,” PFT Commenter added.
He went on to call on Clark’s Fever teammates to do more to protect her on the court.
“Her enforcers on this team need to step up,” he said. “Why are we paying Sophie Cunningham all this money? That’s when you get in there and start throwing some elbows.”
