Summary: While its not right, and should not be acceptable in our country, I’m out here fighting the good fight and have yet to gain the momentum I need to avoid this blatant hate and bias. I’m of course talking about the lack of recognition offensive lineman receive, nationally. You ever tried to run the ball without a line? Ever seen a drop back pass without blockers? Me and my pal Charlie Edgeworth didn’t think so. In fact, the All-state lineman has made it his mission to bring some national attention to the boys in the trenches (I just informed him of this), so be prepared.
While Edgeworth may not ring a bell, how about a guy by the name of Briggs Cherry? Of course, typical QB propaganda….bet you didn’t realize Edgeworth and ‘The Cherry Bomb’ played a little ball together at Baylor school, and Charlie will be looking to protect and defend Charry and the rest of the QBs during his time here on campus. In all honesty, Charlie was a great pickup for the Cards and should be a solid contributor in seasons to come. Getting snaps as a true freshman on the line is tough, but his size and early enrollment will not hurt his argument or development. Excited about seeing him turn into a force up front. You can’t teach a guys to be 6’7” 320, but you can show him a few tricks once he’s there.
