Philadelphia 76ers duo Tyrese Maxey and LeBron James are getting to know each other ahead of the start of the new NBA season.

When LeBron signed a two-year deal with Philadelphia, Maxey played secret-keeper. 76ers teammate VJ Edgecombe revealed he repeatedly texted Maxey asking if Bron was coming, only for Maxey to act clueless until the news broke.
Meanwhile, despite national chatter about how LeBron, Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, and Maxey will share touches, LeBron quickly shut down fit concerns, posting a workout photo with the young star captioned “Rese for President” to signal Maxey remains Philly’s driving engine.

Tyrese Maxey isn’t letting up on his famous early-morning work ethic, even when training alongside LeBron James.
He took to Instagram to petty-troll his superstar teammate after beating him to a 6:15 AM workout.
Posting a photo of his sneakers off on the hardwood inside an empty gym, Maxey tagged LeBron and trainer Chris Johnson, captioning it: “I know I’m ahead of yall now but make sure yall check in !!!!”
It’s classic Maxey, relentlessly competitive, unapologetically early, and completely unfazed by sharing the floor with an all-time great. The student is officially setting the alarm clock.
With many tipping the 76ers to lift the NBA title, it’s this kind of work ethic that sets the foundations.
