    Woman in Gold

Really great movie. It's quite moving, but done with just the right touch -- it could have gone off track at so many points, but stayed true to the story. It could have been heavy-handed or pushy, but instead kept a surprisingly light and deft touch, while still maintaining tension and involving...

    The Judge

Trite beyond predictable plot/story; I thought the writing of it was decent for a Lifetime/Oprah movie -- oh, wait... it was saved and made watchable by the actors - I have to say, although Duval is a long-time favorite and I love Downey, when Billy Bob Thornton is on the screen, I can't...

    Fargo (FX)

Frankly, they ought to just give Malvo his own series.

    new layout?

Can you make it optional? I for one can guarantee that I will never use it. I don't come here for the sports, I come for other stuff and occasionally check out the sports forums.

Arizona Capers - Any adventurous gardeners?

OK, guys - 1) I have about half a dozen well-established (4-8") spineless caper plants for anyone who wants one - you can get one or two at any time now, just PM me. Now with the higher humidity isn't a bad time to move them as long as you initially provide some shade, though they'll also...

    new layout?

I don't really need the 'latest threads' section, and it just ads to a busy-ness I would rather do without. just my 2 cents.

    Auto-pay renewal?

Well I didn't see a thread with a title reflecting this issue, but if it's buried in the football forum or something, it ought to be put here as well, where people would expect to see it. Half the question is answered in terms of canceling, but how do I sign up now for the new system?

    Auto-pay renewal?

Just got an annual renewal email for ASFN. Because I'd had to cancel the credit card I used previously, it notified me the auto- renew didn't go through. It still lists keebali as the recipient, so I'm assuming I do NOT want to update the cc info ? But I don't want to be swamped with ads and do...

    Chef

It's the only movie I've noticed where they listed every caterer and their staff by name in the credits. I figured they got to eat well. I saw Favreau on Top Chef New Orleans, which is what interested me in the movie - he went on the road training with several well-known food truck chefs so he...

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

Shows how little you know about women.

    Fargo (FX)

Yes. True Detective had some serious ups and downs especially towards the end, but Fargo has been so smooth and ... I don't know, coherent, despite the utter weirdness. It has an oddly cottony, almost suffocating feeling, broken open only by Malvo.

    Fargo (FX)

Ok, I really love this show. It is consistently strong, and Thornton just electrifies every time he's on the screen.

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

That, in spades. This season has felt disorganized. I assumed we'd get more Manse along the way - an actor of that stature and caliber yet invisible. And just forgetting about Tyrion after last week was a cardinal sin. Obviously they needed 12 or 14 episodes to do it right.

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

SEASON FINALE!?! Next week is the Season Finale? That's absurd! Totally unacceptable. Piss me off!

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

They SAID this season was deviating more from the books, and it will continue. Geo. Martin said he was fine with it -- he's even contributed to some of it.

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

There has never been anything on TV that has repeatedly just flat-out shocked me like GOT. Best TV show ever.

    Chef

LOVED this movie. A modest, extremely well-made, very funny movie -- colorful and absolutely mouthwatering. All three of us spent half the movie grinning ear to ear. A film that made us happy and extremely hungry.

Really enjoying this. Billy Bob Thornton is wonderful.

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

I can, in retrospect, appreciate the death of Joffrey as a plot loss. But in terms of breathtaking emotional highs and lows? the Red Wedding and Joffrey's murder in the same series is unmatched. Now for future villains it's hard to picture anyone as disgusting, cruel, and capriciously...

Ummm... I for one was totally behind Jaime on that one. It was bitter, vengeful, and final.

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

I was away last week and just now watched the episode -- and I was ecstatic!! THRILLED! Jumping up and down clapping and yelling "DIE you twisted SOB! DIE!! DIE!!!" I can't recall ever in my life wanting as much to see a character die as I did Joffrey.
